Free Tips & Techniques Seminar #9. The Art of Listening/Why We Buy Hi-Fi?

This month's free Tips & Techniques seminar will feature a brief discussion about the real value of listening to music on a Hi Fidelity system.Next we will work on getting the most out of our listening session by "tuning up" our listening habits through a series of demonstrations. In previous sessions tight constraints meant listening time was cut short (blame the chatty bald guy). Not this time, the talking will take a back seat to the listening, to be sure to get your share of the "goose bumps".

Two Sessions, Wednesday, July 28th
5:00pm and 7:00pm
Bellevue Showroom 14405 NE 20th
425-746-3188

To start off we will explore what we hear and feel when music is reproduced by a Hi-Fidelity playback system and consider how the various aspects of the systems performance contribute to our experience. We will ask the question, what is the real value of a Hi Fidelity system? You will learn how to tune up your senses so that you not only hear the sounds but feel the emotions of your favorite musicians.

Then we'll practice unleashing the full power of our senses in order to discover first hand the power of a great hi-fi over the soul, if your ears and mind are ready to receive it. There will also be a discussion about how our listening habits, in combination with what we listen to (music), and how we play it back, can affect the quality of our enjoyment and quantity of our goose bumps. We will even take a moment to listen to a few old favorites that are perhaps not the greatest recordings, just great musicians playing great songs to see if a Hi Fidelity playback system can take you back in time.

The presentation will wrap it all up with a no holds barred debate about the importance of recorded art to life and why a great Hi-Fi could be the most importance appliance in your home (like a hair dryer for your soul)!

Please join us at our Bellevue showroom, Wednesday, July 28th, to eat drink, LISTEN (to music), talk, learn and... get some goose bumps!
