Definitive Buyer, Michelle Troupe, Visits Classé

Recently Definitive Audio's Buyer, Michelle Troupe, was presented the opportunity to visit the Classé factory in Montreal. She's shown here with Classé Communications Manager, Tom McConville. Turns out she needed a communications manager, as nearly everyone at the facility spoke French. (A language that, despite her name's origins, she has yet to master.) But Michelle certainly didn't require a translator to recognize the absolutely extraordinary attention to detail given by Classé technicians at every stage of component manufacture.

De rigueur for everyone are special lab coats that minimize the build up of static electrical charges that could spark and damage delicate circuitry. Literally every part is tested and re-tested to ensure that it meets the strictest standards.

This meticulous adherence to quality control results not only in superior performance, but in exceptional reliability. (As the nation's #1 Classé dealer and among the few consumer electronics retailers with an "in-house" service department, we at Definitive Audio can attest that Classé's reputation for rock-solid reliability is well-deserved.) Michelle learned more about the relationship between Classé and B&W of the UK. Classé has been wholly owned by B&W for some time now and the partnership has proven a fruitful one. For example, Classé amplification and B&W loudspeakers have been chosen as primary monitors for world-famous Abbey Road Studios in London. Classé also teamed up with B&W in the creation of the fantastic Zeppelin iPod(tm) speaker system.

Michelle got to see the new CT-series of components, now in the finals stages of development. This line is specially designed to meet the often unique requirements of custom-installed audio/video systems. (The Delta and Omega lines remain in the line-up.) She also had the opportunity to audition the CT-M600 monoblock power amplifier. Her one-word review of the Classé factory experience? Magnifique!
