Most center channels are an afterthought — a box to hang dialogue on. This one is a full three-way, built in the same Matrix cabinet as the towers, voiced to disappear into the front stage.
At the top is B&W’s diamond dome tweeter — the same driver that leads the 803D. Behind it, the FST midrange: a 6-inch woven Kevlar driver with no surround, which eliminates the resonance and coloration that conventional midranges can’t fully escape. Flanking it, two 7-inch Rohacell bass drivers in a vented Matrix enclosure, loaded through twin rear-facing Flowports. Linear, natural, and deep enough to pressurize the room without exaggerating it.
