The Relentless 800 is Dan D'Agostino's statement monoblock — the amplifier that exists to prove what's possible when cost is not the primary design constraint. 800 watts into 8 ohms. 1,600 into 4. 3,200 into 2. The power supply uses massive custom-wound transformers and a capacitor bank that stores enough energy to drive essentially any speaker on the market without compression, regardless of impedance swings.
The output stage runs Class A to a significant threshold before transitioning — which means the first watts, the ones doing most of the work on most recordings, are produced with the lowest possible distortion. The handcrafted copper chassis, machined from solid stock, is both structural and thermal — it conducts heat away from the output devices without a fan. The illuminated watt meter on the front panel is analog, because D'Agostino designed it that way.
What the Relentless 800 does to a system is remove ceiling. Whatever your speakers could do before, they do more of it. Dynamics that felt large feel effortless. Bass that felt controlled feels planted.
