The Meze Liric V2 is a closed-back planar magnetic headphone — which puts it in a very small category. Closed-back planars offer the imaging and low-distortion characteristics of planar magnetic transduction with isolation from external noise. Most planar magnetics are open-back because closing the back introduces acoustic challenges that the Meze engineering team spent the Liric V2 development cycle solving.
The V2 revision addresses the V1's bass extension and low-end control — tighter, more defined, with the same natural planar midrange that the original Liric established. Impedance is low enough to drive from a portable source; scale well with a quality desktop amplifier. Demo condition, in excellent shape.
The Liric V2 is the headphone for the listener who needs closed-back isolation but refuses to give up planar resolution.
