The Moon 390 was Simaudio's most ambitious single-box solution: a full-function network player, preamplifier, DAC, phono stage, and headphone amplifier in one chassis. When it launched it represented a category-defining product — the kind of component that removes the question of separates versus all-in-one by simply being better than what most separates chains can achieve at its price. Its DAC accepts PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and DSD256, built around a custom ESS Sabre implementation with Moon's proprietary analog output stage. The preamplifier section is fully discrete and operates in pure Class A.
It streams from Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, AirPlay 2, and any UPnP source on your network. It works as a Roon endpoint. And it connects to MiND 2 — Simaudio's streaming platform — for a seamless, app-driven listening experience. The phono stage handles both MM and MC cartridges with adjustable loading, making this a serious analog front-end as well. The 390 has since been discontinued; this is a demo unit in two-tone finish and complete working condition, available at near-new pricing.
