The Everest 8000 is Shunyata Research's reference power distributor — not a power conditioner in the traditional current-limiting sense, but a precision power delivery system designed to maximize dynamic transient current (DTCD) while eliminating noise from the AC supply. It is the product Shunyata uses in professional recording studios — Abbey Road, AIR Studios, and dozens of others — and the same product Shunyata recommends for the finest home audio systems. The 8000 designation refers to its eight outlet positions, each of which is wired with Shunyata's CopperCONN copper contacts and isolated from adjacent outlets to prevent component-to-component noise contamination.
The Shunyata Everest is engineered to perform without introducing dynamic compression — one of the key failure modes of lesser power conditioners. Your amplifiers draw what they need, when they need it. The noise floor drops. The system sounds more at ease. This demo unit is in excellent condition and paired ideally with the Shunyata Sigma XC C19 power cable for connection to the wall outlet.
