Description

The Turbine Head matters. It is the structural midrange enclosure machined from aluminum — a dedicated housing for the Continuum FST driver that isolates it acoustically from the bass cabinet below. In the 801 D5 and 802 D5, it is a given. In the 803 D5, it is the entry point. The 803 D5 brings the full trio — Diamond dome tweeter, Turbine Head with 130mm Continuum FST midrange, and two 180mm Aerofoil bass drivers — into B&W's most compact headed floorstander. The result is a speaker that achieves 90dB sensitivity, extends to 19Hz within ±3dB, and maintains the same distortion benchmarks as its larger siblings — in a cabinet that is 301mm wide and 63.7kg. For listeners building serious two-channel or home theater systems in rooms that aren't purpose-built around the 801 or 802, the 803 D5 is the speaker worth starting from.

Bowers & Wilkins warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use from the date of purchase for a period of five (5) years for passive loudspeakers, two (2) years for powered loudspeakers, electronics and headphones, and ninety (90) days for spare parts and accessories.

Do you offer service on Bowers & Wilkins loudspeakers?

We do! In many cases we can service a still under warranty speaker in the home, however in rare cases we might need to bring it in for more extensive maintenance.
