Description

The dCS Varèse Transport is the latest addition to the Varèse Music System, marking a major milestone in CD and SACD playback. Built after six years of research and development, this new Transport is engineered to deliver the quietest, lowest-vibration performance dCS has ever produced. It joins the original Varèse components — Core, Master Clock, dual Mono DACs, Remote, and Control App — as the dedicated disc playback solution for audiophiles who still cherish their silver-disc collections.

Playback is native: Redbook CDs at 44.1 kHz and SACDs in their original DSD format, with bit-perfect transmission to the Varèse Core over a single cable using the ACTUS interface. This simplifies setup while ensuring signal integrity, timing, and control are handled with matching precision. Control is flexible: through the Varèse User Interface, Mosaic ACTUS app, or Varèse remote.

Mechanically, the Transport is built to exceed expectations: the top, sides, front, and mechanism mounts are each milled from single pieces of billet aluminum, constrained layer damping is used between the base and dress plates, and the mechanism shares its lineage with dCS’s Vivaldi II and Rossini transports, but with new mounting methods to reduce mechanical noise and vibrations even further.

The dCS Varèse Transport reflects dCS’s mission to reduce anything that can degrade sound — noise, distortion, vibration — and to preserve every detail on CD and SACD without compromise. It’s a precision tool for listeners who want transparency, musicality, and simplicity in their disc playback.

What is the warranty on dCS products?

dCS offers a 3-year limited warranty on their products, covering defects in materials and workmanship when purchased from an authorized dealer. If registered within 6 months of the original ship date, the warranty starts from the purchase date. For registrations after 6 months, the warranty begins from the ship date unless supported by the original sales invoice. In any case, the warranty starts no later than 6 months after the ship date.

Do you offer service on dCS products?

We do! In many cases we can service a still under warranty system in the home, however in rare cases we might need to bring it in for more extensive maintenance.
