The Emerson Digital does one thing: deliver a clean, stable digital signal to whatever DAC follows it. That focus shapes everything about the design. No volume control, no analog stage, no unnecessary complexity. The signal path runs from Ethernet in to AES/EBU and S/PDIF out, and the engineering effort goes entirely into making that path as accurate and jitter-free as possible.

At the core is Wattson's proprietary streaming engine built around Texas Instruments' Sitara processor -- the same platform found in some of the most respected digital products in the industry, and updatable via Ethernet as protocols and formats evolve. Clocking uses two separate ultra-low-noise crystal oscillators, one for the 44.1kHz sample-rate family and one for 48kHz. Only the oscillator needed for the current signal is active at any time, minimizing noise in the system. Both digital outputs -- AES/EBU on XLR and S/PDIF on RCA -- use dedicated output modulators and are transformer-isolated. The encoding is FPGA-based and runs simultaneously on both outputs.

The Emerson Digital integrates cleanly into existing systems without requiring a full source replacement. It adds Roon Ready, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay, UPnP/DLNA, and Audirvana capability to any DAC with a compatible digital input. CNC machined from solid aluminum. Available in dark gray.
