Sony’s XR Processor runs the show, combining XR Contrast Booster 25 for deep blacks and XR Triluminos Max for color accuracy that covers more of the visible spectrum than conventional displays.

Picture quality is the headline. Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG are all supported. XR Clear Image handles upscaling and noise reduction, pulling lower-resolution content toward 4K with real detail, not processing artifacts.

Acoustic Surface Audio+ sends sound directly from the screen panel itself -- the display becomes the speaker. 50W total output, and it works the way you’d expect a Sony to: tight, precise, and well-suited for pairing with a proper surround system through eARC.

Gaming is fully covered. Auto HDR Tone Mapping syncs directly with PlayStation 5, and the built-in Game Menu gives you direct control over black balance and display settings mid-session. 4K/120, VRR, and ALLM are all onboard.
