Description

The Wilson Audio Autobiography does not arrive as an upgrade. It arrives as a reckoning — the result of 51 years of education, refinement, and an uncompromising pursuit of musical truth distilled into a single loudspeaker.

At its core is a completely new five-way driver complement in an M(MTM)M array, with every transducer making its first appearance in this system. The dual 7-inch PentaMag midrange drivers — an evolution of the QuadraMag platform, now employing five AlNiCo magnets for greater motor strength and flux stability — flank a symmetrical MTM crescent array of dual 2-inch Midband Integration Drivers and the latest CSLS Convergent Synergy Laser Sintered front-firing tweeter. A rear-firing ambient tweeter in aerospace-grade spread carbon fiber completes the high-frequency picture, with integrated attenuation adjustable from 0 to -40 dB. Low frequencies are handled by a purpose-built 12-inch and 15-inch dissimilar woofer pair, engineered in parallel from inception to function as a single, coherent voice.

The alignment hardware is entirely bespoke — module alignment sleds with rotating cam grips, calibrated reference scales, and a cross load flow porting system adjustable without tools between forward and rear-firing configurations. The result is time domain precision that exceeds both the WAMM Master Chronosonic and the Chronosonic XVX.

Definitive Audio is one of seven dealers worldwide chosen to host the global debut of the Autobiography. Come and hear it this June.
