Bowers & Wilkins HTM81 D5 Center Channel

The center channel does more than most listeners realize. In a well-configured home theater, the majority of dialogue, much of the musical score, and the sonic anchor of virtually every scene pass through it. The HTM81 D5 was designed with that weight in mind. A 25mm Diamond dome tweeter in a Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top enclosure sits above a 150mm Continuum FST midrange — the same driver found in the 802 D5 — handling the critical midrange band in a Matrix-braced cabinet with Anti-Resonance plug and Biomimetic Suspension. Two 200mm Aerofoil bass drivers extend the low-frequency bandwidth to 28Hz within ±3dB. 90dB sensitivity. 50–500W recommended amplification. At 846mm wide and 334mm tall, the HTM81 D5 has the scale to match an 801 D5 or 802 D5 in a home theater array without asking the system to compromise at the one channel position that carries the most information.
