dCS Varèse User Interface

A reference music system deserves a reference interface. The Varèse User Interface was designed from the ground up to match the performance standard of the components it controls and to make interacting with the system as natural and immediate as possible. The full-colour touch screen displays album artwork at full resolution, a feature that matters more than it sounds: seeing the sleeve of what you are listening to is part of the experience of recorded music, and a system at this level should treat that experience with the same seriousness it applies to the audio. Track metadata, play queues, input selection, and system settings are all accessible from the same screen without navigating between modes. Display preferences are extensively customisable. Text size can be adjusted to suit the viewing distance in your listening room. Dark mode reduces visual distraction in low-light environments. Multiple view configurations let you prioritise what is most relevant to the way you listen. The User Interface communicates with the Varèse Remote Control via Bluetooth LE, so you can adjust volume, skip tracks, or mute from your seat without picking up a phone. It also works in full integration with the dCS Mosaic ACTUS app, available for iOS and Android, for those who prefer a mobile interface or want to browse and queue music from the couch. UPnP compatibility enables integration with third-party control point servers for custom installation environments. The casework is anodised aluminium in the same silver or black finish as the rest of the Varèse stack, with the same height and depth dimensions, so the complete system presents as a coherent whole on the rack.
