The CD 70 is a machine built around a simple conviction: the discs you've spent decades collecting deserve better.

At its core is a high-performance DAC paired with a dedicated Master Clock Design -- a combination that reduces jitter, tightens timing, and pulls more resolution from standard Redbook CD than most players are capable of. The HDAM-SA2 output stage handles the analog side: Marantz's proprietary Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module, refined across generations, gives the signal a clean, open path to your amplifier without the colorations that off-the-shelf op-amps introduce.

Selectable digital filters let you tune the CD playback character to the music and your system. The separated rectifier circuits for analog and digital sections keep interference out of the signal path. Symmetric circuit layout and a symmetrically reinforced chassis do the same mechanically.

The front USB-A input extends the CD 70 beyond physical media -- FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, and DSD files play back at full resolution, so your digital library gets the same treatment as your disc collection.

The built-in headphone amplifier runs its own HDAM-SA2 circuit with selectable gain and dedicated tuning. It's not an afterthought. It's the same philosophy applied to personal listening: nothing between you and the music that doesn't need to be there.
