McIntosh MA2375 Vacuum Tube Integrated Amplifier

McIntosh has built solid-state amplifiers. They've built hybrids. But an integrated amplifier with both a vacuum tube preamplifier and a vacuum tube power amplifier — that hasn't happened in over a decade. The MA2375 is that amplifier.

The power section is built around four KT88 output tubes and four 12AT7 driver tubes per channel, delivering 75 watts into 4, 8, or 16 ohms with the effortless character that only tubes can produce. Unity Coupled Circuit Output Transformers ensure that power reaches your speakers with full bandwidth integrity — the same transformer technology McIntosh has refined across generations of amplifiers. The preamplifier section is driven by 12AX7A and 12AT7 tubes, keeping the signal path pure from input to output.

To protect the KT88 tubes, McIntosh's Power Guard Screen Grid Sensor® monitors current in real time and dynamically adjusts the input signal before distortion can occur — without shutting down or clipping. Combined with Sentry Monitor™ fuse-less short-circuit protection, the MA2375 is engineered to perform reliably for decades.

Connectivity is complete. Six analog inputs — three unbalanced, two balanced, and one universal phono — accommodate virtually any source. The phono stage is fully configurable for both Moving Magnet and Moving Coil cartridges, with adjustable gain, capacitance, resistance loading, and RIAA equalization. A mono subwoofer output, unbalanced preamp output, and 5-band analog equalizer round out the flexibility. The High Drive headphone amplifier with Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD®) adds a dimensionality to private listening that has to be heard to be understood.

Aesthetically, the MA2375 is unmistakably McIntosh — dual blue watt meters flanking the glowing tubes, polished stainless-steel chassis, Solid Cinch™ gold-plated speaker binding posts. It is an object that commands a room before a note is played.
