Some processors get replaced because something better came along. This one gets replaced because someone upgraded their room. The Anthem AVM 60 is still one of the most capable AV preamp/processors ever built at this price -- and at $1,000 certified pre-owned, it’s an entry point that doesn’t make sense to ignore.
The AVM 60 is an 11.2-channel processor built around Anthem’s proprietary ARC (Anthem Room Correction) system -- widely considered the best room correction technology in the industry. It doesn’t just measure your room. It understands it. Four separate speaker profiles, proper multi-sub calibration, and a quad-core DSP running 32-bit/768kHz differential-output D/A converters. The result is a soundstage that sounds like your room was designed for your system, even when it wasn’t.
Format support covers everything: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby Surround, DTS Neural:X upmixing. Seven HDMI inputs on the rear plus one on the front, two HDMI 2.0a outputs, full 4K/HDR pass-through with HDCP 2.2, Dolby Vision, and BT.2020 wide color gamut. Analog outputs run 13.1 channels with both balanced XLR and RCA, plus a dedicated mono subwoofer output. IP control, RS-232, and DTS Play-Fi for network streaming round out the connectivity.
