The Strato C is for the theater where the server already lives somewhere else. No internal storage -- it pulls content from a Kaleidescape Terra movie server over Gigabit Ethernet and plays it at the full quality Kaleidescape is known for. 4K Ultra HD up to 60 frames per second. HDR10. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X over HDMI. Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. A separate HDMI 1.4 audio output for processors that want a dedicated audio path.
The chassis is slim -- under two inches tall -- and plays without lag, without compression artifacts, without the buffering behavior that streaming services accept as normal. Kaleidescape downloads the full uncompressed file. The Strato C plays it.
