The MC611 is McIntosh's 600-watt monoblock — doubling to 1,200 watts into 4 ohms and 2,400 into 2. Autoformer output, Power Guard clipping prevention, balanced input, and the McIntosh build quality that makes these amplifiers outlast every other component in the system. A monoblock configuration means no channel crosstalk, dedicated power supply per channel, and the thermal headroom that a 600-watt stereo amp inevitably compromises.
Used condition, tested and verified. The MC611 was designed to be partnered with demanding speakers — high-end floor-standers that want current, low-impedance loads that most amplifiers handle poorly, multi-driver systems that ask the amplifier to do everything at once. The Autoformer handles all of it without the output stage flinching.
